Cooking Classes: Ligurian Flavours from Garden to Table

Learn the secrets of Ligurian cooking in a relaxed, hands-on setting
Ligurian food is quietly spectacular. Not flashy, but full of depth. Wild herbs, fresh vegetables, olive oil that tastes of the sun — it’s food with a story. And at San Giuseppe, you get to be part of it.
Our cooking classes are casual, friendly, and grounded in local tradition. They often begin in the garden, picking herbs and gathering inspiration. Find wild rosemary, basil, and thyme growing around the agriturismo, then cook with it! Our classes take you through a real Ligurian menu: from fresh pesto and handmade pasta to 5 antipasti, a secondo, and even dolce.
Together, we prepare a full Ligurian menu. Five seasonal antipasti — perhaps zucchini flowers, baked peppers, or bruschetta — followed by handmade pasta or gnocchi, a rustic main course, and a simple but perfect dessert. Everything is made from scratch and enjoyed together at the long table.
Along the way, you’ll learn kitchen tips, local legends, and maybe a few Italian words from the local nonna. Cooking with others in a relaxed, sun-filled kitchen, sipping a glass of wine, and creating something delicious.

It’s not a show — it’s a shared experience. Learn from local cooks, taste as you go, and take those flavors back home. The real magic? Making something together and sitting down to enjoy it
